Set for a July 2010 release, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is loosely based on the famous mini from Disney’s Fantasia (1940). The film revolves around a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan, Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) who recruits and trains young protégé Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) to help him fight against the evil forces. It will take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

This film was originally set to be released on July 16, 2010, but has been moved up to July 14, 2010. Directed by Jon Turteltaub, this film stars Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider 2, Kick-Ass), Jay Baruchel (Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian), Alfred Molina (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and Monica Bellucci in lead roles.
